Chances are you are reading this review because you are either 1) Being proactive about finding a bottle for your soon to be arriving baby that you plan to breastfed or 2) Absolutely desperate to find a bottle that your breastfed baby will actually take. I worked in a daycare center years before I got pregnant, and though I wasn't working in the infant rooms themselves, it was so utterly heart-wrenching to hear some of those newly enrolled babies screaming and crying hysterically since they refused to take a bottle. Hence, my crazy amount of research into finding a boob-like bottle when I was pregnant with my first! Let me tell you, while these bottles are more costly than most, they are worth their weight in gold. They allowed me to easily keep my baby on breast milk for a year even though I worked full-time-- and allowed me to keep my sanity since I was able to, you know, have someone else watch (and therefore feed) my kid for a few hours so I could have some me time every once in awhile!

My husband first fed our daughter with these bottles when she was 5 days old-- NO nipple confusion and NO bottle preference developed. Seriously, she switched between boob & bottle no problem for an entire year. My newly arrived second daughter is following suit, too, so I am convinced these bottles are the best thing ever for breastfeeding moms!

FYI, I used the Slow Flow/1 Hole nipples that come with the 5 oz bottles until 3 months, and then switched to the Medium Flow/2 Hole nipples (come with the 8 oz bottles) & never moved up beyond those-- wasn't necessary. Also, if you are sending these to daycare, Mabel's Labels skinny minis fit perfectly on the rim.
I was using the lansinoh bottles because the nipple was the only one my first born would take. Now on our second child and she was using lansinoh bottles as well until we tried comotomo. I absolutely love the shape and feel of these bottles and the nipple... the nipple is amazing. She drinks from it like she is enjoying it as much as she breastfeeds. I'm very happy with these. They are easy to clean, easy to put together and all the parts dry really well. I see a lot of reviews about leaking and I believe it's user error, I've had leaks and when I open the bottle it's always two things, I didn't tighten the ring enough or the nipple wasn't put in correctly. You have to make sure the nipple is around the ring correctly inside and its tight enough. I always test it now by having the top on and squeezing the bottle a bit (love that I can find out if it leaking this way since the bottle is squeezable) and if I don't hear air leaking we are good to go. The top can be a little obnoxious to but on since the tip of the nipple is soft so you gotta make sure that's on right. No gas or fuss after eating and she burps like a dream haha. At this point we haven't had an real problems and if I had to go back and choose a bottle for my first one it would definitely be these!

These bottles saved my wife's sanity. We had a exclusively breast-fed baby who didn't like any bottles we offered him! Once we found these, it was a lifesaver! My wife was able to do more things and I was able to give her more breaks. Great bottle! We are currently still using them with our new baby. They look just as good as the first day we received them.

This is the only bottle I found with TRUE slow flow nipples. This was a big issue when my son started taking a bottle - every other "slow flow" nipple made him gag and sputter milk everywhere. These, he had absolutely no problem with, This allowed my husband to help with feedings, as well as provide an easy transition for my son when he started taking a bottle more at daycare. The silicone made it easy for him to hold on his own once he started, and I've never had a problem with nursing and bottle feeding.

These bottles are SUPER easy to clean and transport. We absolutely love them!

First let me start by saying I am SO glad I found these bottles! MY baby is SO picky about the bottle he will take but he LOVES these!! Thank goodness! So here are my thoughts on these amazing bottles. The soft, squeezable, bulbed design of the Comotomo bottle is designed to mimic mommy, and I think it does a darn good job. By gently squeezing the bottle you can provide baby with a real-life "let-down" (and I mean that in a good way!) experience, which makes this bottle a great option for the breast-to-bottle transition. Made without BPA, PVC or phthalate materials. Washing was simple with its basic parts and extra wide mouth. I was not left wondering if it was "sealed" when screwing on the lid. This bottle was leak-free for me in both feeding and travel and it seems virtually indestructible. I love the "let-down" feature and think it would be a great choice for getting baby used to a bottle. One ting I dislike is the the textured silicone feel does lend itself to collecting hair and lint more readily than a smooth plastic would. This made the outside a little harder to clean but I see this as a minor complaint. The material is also frosted and the measure marks just don't stand out very clearly. Although I like the health aspect and features the silicone base brings to the table. Another thing I noticed that isn't ideal, is that it's rounded shape might be prone to tipping over. This would mainly be a problem if it happened while being filled, but again a minor complaint. I feel like this is a great product, especially if you're struggling to get your baby to take a bottle. Boasting a clean, modern look mixed with what we feel to be some A+ technology. Definitely a must have!!

My wife thought I was crazy when I ordered a set of two bottles that cost nearly $24. But we were having trouble transitioning our daughter to the bottle when my wife went back to work, and I trust my fellow reviewers who had provided many glowing reviews. It was the right decision, because these are the only bottles she'll use.

We followed all the recommendations - introducing her first bottle around six weeks and feeding by bottle occasionally until my wife went back to work. It wasn't that she couldn't tolerate bottles; she just decided she didn't like them and would only eat the bare minimum she needed until she got mom back. We'd tried The First Years Breastflow Starter Set and Playtex BPA Free VentAire Bottle Starter Gift Set, but she wasn't a fan of either and both had extra pieces that made cleaning a hassle.

Then, we tried the Comotomo bottles. Now, she finishes her bottles without any resistance and rarely has issues with gas. We've been using them for three months, and we've had no issues with leaking. As soon as you open the package, you'll see that these really are higher quality that other bottles. The silicone is thick and sturdy, and the bottles and flexible with an easy-to-grip texture. And, there are only three pieces to wash!

They may be pricey, but the unique design and quality production really does justify the cost.
I've been switching bottles around for three months now. My son is three and a half months old and I am happy to say that my search ends today! These bottles are phenomenal. He latches so perfectly. The bottles nipple is so wide and breast like, just as I wanted. I breastfeed him still so I wanted a bottle that was as breast like as possible. It's super easy to wash and I love the silicone feel. And not that it matters because I don't care either way as long as the bottle works but these bottles are also adorable.

I need more of these bottles!!!! I absolutely love these! I wish I ordered 2 sets when they were on sale. They feel like a boob. My 3 month old puts her hand on it while I feed her. They are super easy to clean. The only downfall is that it's very hard to see the ounces on the bottle. The bottle and the marker lines are the same color and it's tough. She starts daycare soon and I'm not sure I'm going to send her with these bottles just because it's tough. But other than that they are great.
These bottles are easy to wash, & really convenient. My son was really colicky, & bottle/formula fed. With him I used Avent natural bottles, which are still fairly good bottles, & also easy to wash. However, I wish I'd known these existed, I can't help but feel he would've had an easier time. My daughter is breast & formula fed & these bottles have been amazing! She switches back and forth no problem! I highly recommend these bottles!

ABSOLUTELY love this bottle. I think it is the best in the market. Here's what I like:
The look: so maybe this is not everyone's priority, but anything that "spices" up feedings and makes it more fun is good with me. It's unique and I love the look.
The Ease: Yep, this thing is easy peasy to clean. Not teeny tiny parts. Just the base, nipple, and green closure. Plus, they're dishwasher safe.
The Effect: My baby does not have severe gas trouble. This bottle has been good for his belly. No leaking. Just overall a great, solid bottle. I initially bought it because I was breastfeeding and it was supposed to be the closest to mimic real breasts. I can't say for sure because my baby didn't latch to me-- but he sure latched to these.
The literal ONLY negative is the price. I mean, they are not the cheapest, but they aren't the most expensive. I literally won't spend another dollar on a different bottle.
I love these bottles! I have been using them for years starting with my first daughter. The design is great, I think they are the best looking bottles - but the function is even better. My kids were breastfed and there were no issues transitioning to this (I tried several other bottles with no success). The bottles are extremely durable & you just need to buy different nipples for the different stages. I will continue to use these will all my babies
My new grandson is breast fed, but there are times when his mom has to do something without him and I keep him for her. I had no luck getting him to take a bottle. I purchased many different kinds to try to get him to take the bottle. Finally I found the Comotomo bottle and nipples on Amazon and purchased to try. Wow, I couldn't believe how easy it was to get him to take this nipple. You have saved the day. Also I want to not that he switches back and forth from the bottle to the breast with ease now. I recommend this nipple and bottle to everyone who breastfeeds but at times needs a break. Thank you for a wonderful product.
We have been on the hunt for the PERFECT bottle for our newborn. We tried a couple. The first bottle (Munchkin Latch) worked well until the slow-flow nipples started to turn into faster flow nipples through usage. It is super scary to be a new, first time Mom and hear your newborn choke and gag. Makes you feel super helpless!

The second we tried was Dr. Brown's. These worked better, but we seemed to get a lot of spit-up. This scared me because there was no warning. It could be 15 minutes later and then suddenly half the bottle he had consumed would be spilling out of his mouth - even after we burped him really well. There was no sound when he would spit-up, either. I didn't want to risk that a night when my husband and I could be asleep.

So, I researched and found these. We got the 8 ounce bottles, and bought the slow flow nipples separately. We have used them for 24 hours now, and noticed he burps less after each feeding. He eats slower - instead of gulping 4 ounces and still hungry, he gets satisfaction with about 2.5 to 3 ounces (which is more on track with his age!). He hasn't gagged once, and we have not had one spit up yet. Maybe it is premature to say, but I really like the results. He had no trouble accepting this bottle, and he also didn't seem to have an issue going between breast and bottle.

The only thing I don't like is that the mls/oz on the side of the bottle are hard to see (especially at night!). I also wish that they had included a storage option. We mix the formula right in the bottles, and with this there is no lid that you can use to shake it (which is why I went with the 8 oz to start) and store. So, we have been using the other bottles to prepare, warm, and then just dump what we need into this bottle to feed.

I would recommend this - just based on the 24 hours of use!
With my first child, we used Dr. Brown's bottles so we have about a million of those (literally probably 30). Of course the second time around, my little one was not interested in the bottles we already had! I scoured the internet and ended up buying 5 or 6 different bottles for him to try, and this is the one he ended up taking. It is on the expensive side, for sure, but worth every penny so that he'll take a bottle and doesn't have to be attached to me at all times. The bottles are easy to assemble and easy to clean - we just throw them in the dishwasher. The top is shaped like a breast and is designed so that it actually feels like one, so much so that part of the nipple rests against your child's face just like a breast would. We haven't had any problems with leaking.

I have two gripes with this bottle, but neither are severe enough for me to give it a negative review: First, it is too big to fit in our bottle warmer. I am not sure the sizing of other bottle warmers - ours is Dr. Brown's - but we have to heat up milk in a different bottle and then pour it into this bottle. Extra dishes for sure, but not the end of the world. Second, I am not sure why but the company does not label the nipples. I ordered a few extra bottles once I realized my son would take them, and went ahead and got the faster flow since he was getting older, but I have to examine the tops of the nipples closely to figure out which one I'm using because he now prefers the faster flow but the nipples aren't labeled by stage like other bottle nipples are.

Overall, though, these bottles have been a life saver for us!

These are the ONLY bottle my daughter will take. I nursed her until she was 10 months old and tried for many months before that to give her a bottle and it didn't work. She ended up deciding one day she didn't want to nurse anymore but out of 5 bottles this is the only one she would take (and at 14 months old still only likes these!)
They're just like nursing. Same nipple and latch. Soft like a breast. Easy to clean. Worth the money because I am done nursing and she is happy!!!

These are BY FAR the best bottles in the world! We started using these with my daughter when she was just a week old to supplement. I was SO worried that she wouldn't be able to use the bottle and breastfeed, but with these bottles, she was able to go back and forth with absolutely no issues! These bottles are the BEST! Now that my daughter is 3 months old, she seems to tolerate any bottle, but loves these the most, so this is all we use at home. I swear she is able to transition so easily because we started her with these bottles; they are the absolute best at mimicking the breast. No other bottle out there has the wide nipple like this, some come close, but none do as good of a job as the Comotomo bottles. They are really easy to clean, and the silicone is super soft and my daughter loves grabbing on to them. I love that there are only 3 parts and because the bottle portion is wide, it is super easy to clean. At 3 months we are still using this size and the slow flow nipple, but are about to transition her to the medium flow on this size bottle. Also, we have been using these nipples for 3 months and they show zero wear and tear. They are still in perfect condition and the hole has not ripped, increased, or anything of the sort. I cannot rave enough about these bottles and I recommend them to anyone that needs to supplement or bottle feed.
The first month of my sons life he was bottle fed formula, but then I exclusively breastfed him when my husband went away for training for a month. After that my son would absolutely not take a bottle. I'm a stay a home mom so it wasn't a big concern, until I had family wanting to watch my son. I did my research and found this bottle was the best "breastfeeding bottle". Initially he didn't want to take it, but after a minute of trying to get him to take it- he took the bottle! He is still exclusively breastfed, but he will take this bottle and I don't have to worry about him not taking a bottle (and not eating). This would also be perfect for working moms that still want to be able to breastfeed, but not have baby attached to bottle and refuse the boob.
I LOVE these!! My baby is EBF so as most breastfeeding moms are, I was worried about if she would take a bottle. She never missed a beat with them. She can nurse just like she was at the breast. I love the materials they're made out of as well. Very soft yet sturdy! I will say, if you're hearing up breastmilk, it's much faster to do it in the breastmilk bag. It does take quite a while to hear up through the bottle (assuming you're using hot water to heat it.)
With a breastfed baby transitioning to daycare and thus, a bottle, we tried EVERY main name brand you can think of to get our baby to eat without a struggle. Screaming, crying, shoving the bottle away and only eating a few ounces at a time was not going to work for worried parents or a harried provider. Then a local breast-feeding support group told us about these bottles. Even though they are pricey so far as bottles go, we were more than willing to try anything that might work.

These bottles were life changing. Our little one took to these without so much as a peep of resistance. Ate his fill and was content. Smaller burps as well, but that could attributed to less screaming. Happy provider, less worried parents.

The wide neck of these bottles makes cleaning very easy. It also makes the nipple easier to 'snap' in place. There are also only three pieces to clean unlike some other brands we've tried. The soft bottle made it easy for baby to grip and start holding his own bottle.

Main drawback is the price, but then again you pay for quality. Also, the valves on the nipple can be too slow or become blocked by baby's nose & chin, leading to a frustrated baby until the pressure equalizes. Still a better solution than multiple pieces that need to be cleaned and sterilized. Finally the silicone does not transfer heat very well, so heating up milk can take longer.

Now I have a storage bin of other expensive and now useless bottles.
My son loves these bottles. No gas or upset stomach. Breast feeds and uses these bottles daily. Is only 5 months old and is able to easily hold and feed with the bottles (with my supervision of course!)
I breast and bottle feed. I tried Almost all blanks baby bottles. All most all blanks bottle were rejected except Dr brown and this. I think this is the best one!

This product does not leak
Easy to clean & assembled
Easy to put formula
And my baby does not reject as much as others

If you don't mind cleaning parts and not laying down to feed. I think Dr Brown could be better. I was very happy with it, no colic and picky baby can still take it.
But this seems better since it does not leak feeding laying down.
I have just tried this, so I will update how it goes, but he did not reject and did not leak!
I had Stopped using the dr brown bottles and switched over to the comotomo bottles. The Wide neck bottles made it easy to wash every time and it made the transition from breast to the bottle fairly easily. Perfect for moms going back to work and comotomo bottles feel exactly like a boob!
I purchased about 10 different types of bottles for my baby when she was refusing bottle. These were the only ones she would take! They have a very soft silicone and wide nipple, that I think probably feels more like the "real thing". The only complaint I have with these is they kinda tip over easy, especially the smaller 5oz bottles. But they also don't leak like a lot of other bottle brands do either so it isn't that big of a deal. I wish they sold this brand in store, but Amazon is pretty much the only place you can find this brand. Thank God for Amazon's same day shipping!
My friend's baby was having a hard time transitioning to bottle after breast. Her pedetrician reccomended a bottle with a more realistic nipple. She did not want to latch to any bottle. After trying a few found at the store she was in a point of breaking down because of the difficulty her baby was having. I searched online for a brand she had not tried and I got her these and her little girl was able to latch to them.. She liked the softness of the bottom part that makes it feel more like a breast than a bottle.
our son prefers these bottles over others. he was exclusively breast fed for the first 10 weeks, but we wanted to get him used to drinking from the bottle before he started daycare. He has no problem latching on to these bottles, and the venting system works great to keep him from inhaling too much air and getting gassy.

because of their wide opening, these are extremely easy to clean.

my only minor complaint is that due to the wide shape, the container does not fit in my bottle warmer. as a result, I store milk in the bottles that fit my pump and only pour into the comotomo bottles just before feeding. It would be nice to store excess milk in the fridge.
Feel absolutely wonderful. The instructions suggest that you boil everything for 5 minutes. I did without any issues. Our daughter love drink from these extremely ergonomic bottles. The only call-out I'll give is that the nipples seem high-flow to me. My 7 week old daughter drank 3oz in about 90 seconds. Then I noticed that she started making 'slurping' noises when she was breast feeding. Now I can count on two hands how many times we've bottle fed her. So the idea that bottles are affecting how she breast feeds is likely my imagination. But, I thought I'd mention it.

These bottles are expensive, but worth the cost. I wanted to get non-plastic bottles for my son, since recent studies have shown even BPA free plastics can release estrogenic compounds when heated. It's not a big thing, but it's easy enough to avoid. Most of our bottles are glass, but those don't travel well and they're not allowed at daycare. These are perfect. They're soft, so easy to grab and safe to throw in a diaper bag, the wide mouth makes it incredibly easy to clean, the silicone doesn't hold smells and the nipples are as close to breast shape as I've seen, so no risk of nipple confusion.

The only thing that isn't perfect about these bottles is the travel cover - it's just a simple plastic cup that clips on to the bottle and covers the nipple. They stay on fairly well, but do have air holes in them to prevent vacuum. Unfortunately if the bottle is in a bag upside down and gets squeezed, milk can drip into the cover and then out through the air holes. Still, minor issue and not worth reducing a star, just worth being aware of.
These bottles have been amazing for my breastfed baby. I tried Tommee Tippee first but the nipples are way too hard. The nipples are soft and my baby took to the bottle quite quickly and without too much fuss. The silicone is a bit soft but it's not a deal breaker. I recommend these if you have a baby who's been fussy with bottles.
